Government talks with Anganwadi workers Failed: Government talks with Anganwadis failed. The government has said that they will increase the salaries in April and May. But the Anganwadis insisted on a written guarantee of the same. They decided to end the strike only if they do that. But it seems that the government has said no to that. With this, the Anganwadi strike will continue. Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy spoke to the media on this matter. Sajjala said that the government has discussed three times with the Anganwadis. Anganwadi workers and unions held discussions with the minister on Friday evening in the third round. Sajjala spoke to the media after the discussions.
He said that we will fulfill some of the demands of Angan wadis. He said that CM Jagan has fulfilled the promises made in the election. As per the promise, the salaries have been increased after coming to power. They said that they will increase the salaries next July. He said that TA and DA of Anganwadis are also being fixed… Government has acted positively. Sajjala said that the government is positive to solve their problems. Sajjala expressed suspicion that there is a clear political agenda behind this strike. Anganwadis will suffer due to this agenda, he said.
Sajjala made it clear that the police have never misbehaved with the Anganwadis who are on strike. We have brought their services under the scope of ESMA that pregnant women and infants should not face any problem. He said that alternative arrangements have been made to avoid trouble in Anganwadi centers during this strike. On behalf of the government, the Anganwadis were asked to join the duties. Sajjala said that if they do not join the duties, they will have to recruit new people for the needs of the government. Sajjala said that the decision must be taken as the government has to work according to the needs of the people.
