Xamalicious Malware: Every day we hear about many types of online scams. Hackers come up with 10 different types of fraud before they find one. Also security researchers are also researching various things on the internet every day and finding flaws in them. Government agencies also work day and night for the safety of the people. Now McAfee researchers have issued a warning to Android users. They appealed to them to immediately delete some apps from their smartphones.
Errors in Android apps
Researchers have found some Android apps that contain malware. A dangerous malware called ‘Xamalicious’ was found in it. It affected more than three lakh devices. This dangerous malware is present in 14 apps available on Google Play Store. It steals information by gaining access to people’s devices.
Over a million downloads
Out of the 14 apps containing this malware, three apps have been downloaded by more than one lakh people, the report said. It means that the privacy of all of them has been violated. The good thing is that Google has now removed all these apps from the Play Store. But this is a matter of concern for those who have downloaded these apps and still have them on their phones.
Delete these apps immediately

Apart from theseXamalicious‘ There are 12 other apps affected by the malware. They are located on third party websites or stores. As per ANI report these apps are in APK form. People’s privacy is being violated.
Xamalicious is an Android backdoor. It is .NET framework, open source Xamarin Attaches into apps built using the framework. After installing apps, this malware gains access to the Accessibility Service. Then records the contents on the screen. Steals data from apps in the background.
