One of them is AHUDA Chairman Mahalakshmi Srinivas and the other is Urdu Academy Chairman Nadeem Ahmed.
These two leaders were once leaders of Telugu Desam. He tried to get a ticket in the Telugu Desam Party but was disappointed or joined the YSR Congress Party. AHUDA Chairman Mahalakshmi Srinivas was once a staunch Telugu Desam Party loyalist. Worked for many days as the in-charge of Anantapur Urban Constituency. Bye-elections were held in Anantapur Urban Constituency due to the death of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Mahalakshmi Srinivas contested on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party in this by-election. Former MLA Gurunath Reddy, the candidate of his rival YSR Party won the election. Former MLA Prabhakar Chaudhary unexpectedly got TDP ticket when he was fully prepared for the 2014 elections. Mahalakshmi Srinivas joined the YSR Congress party with this determination. He has done a lot for the party till 2019. But in the 2019 election, it was seen that the ticket was almost there. But at the last moment the ticket went to Anantapuram MLA Ananta Venkatarami Reddy.
Undeterred by this, he contested as a corporator and stood in the mayoral race. But that post went to someone else. Mahalakshmi Srinivas, who was dissatisfied with this, was given an opportunity as the chairman of Anantapuram-Hindupuram Urban Development Authority (Ahuda). Even after two years, he was retained in that position. On the occasion of CM Jagan’s birthday, Kaniv was seen in the city in an unprecedented manner with flexi and horging. A bike rally was organized with hundreds of youths. Also, a huge cut-out was milked with the help of a crane and attracted the attention of all in the district. Now everyone thinks that he is doing all this for his ticket.
On the other hand, almost a similar situation is seen in the case of Urdu Academy Chairman Nadeem. He previously worked in Telugu Desam Party. But instead of being in TDP, YSR joined Congress party. Tried for Assembly Parliament ticket in 2014 and 19 elections. However, CM Jagan recognized Nadeem’s services and gave him the opportunity to become the chairman of Urdu Academy. On the occasion of CM Jagan’s birthday, Nadhim also set up huge hoardings in the city and it became a topic of discussion. It is clear that these two leaders are doing this because they are in the ticket race.
In Anantapur Urban Constituency, majority of the votes are from minorities. In this background, Nadeem is trying to get a ticket in this quota. More than 60 thousand votes are minority. For the past few days, there has been a demand to give tickets to minorities. That is why Nadeem is trying hard. On the other hand, Mahalakshmi Srinivas also came to the screen with social class equations. After Minorities, Anantapur Urban Constituency has the highest votes of Balijas. They have about 45 thousand votes. In the background, there is a campaign in both the parties that Balijala will be given the ticket this time. That is why Mahalakshmi Srinivas came on screen at the last minute.
Unlike anywhere else in the district, CM Jagan’s birthday celebrations are being held in Anantapur Urban Constituency and efforts are being made to get tickets. At present this is causing some concern among MLA Anantha Venkatarami Reddy’s relatives. Even the sitting MLA has not organized flexible voting and birthday celebrations anywhere.
