Hyderabad, December 21: The Tablighi Jamaat gathering to be held in Telangana is now leading to a big controversy. The Telangana government has already sanctioned two crore 45 lakh 93 thousand 847 rupees for the Tablighi Jamaat Sammelanam program to be organized in Parigi of Vikarabad district. However, Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are objecting to this combination. They are expressing their anger on the government’s way of allocating funds for religious programs. But such congregations are organized only for the purpose of Islamic teachings.. There are Tablighi Jamaat preachers in every district of Telugu states. Usually only Muslims personally spend money for such programs. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are angry that the government is not allocating funds for this program.
The religious leaders had earlier decided to hold a Tablighi Jamaat gathering at Nyamatnagar village of Parigi mandal in Vikarabad district for three days from January 6. They also got necessary permissions for this. However, the newly formed Congress government in Telangana has sanctioned funds for this amalgamation program. But now the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have objected to this programme. During the elections, religious leaders of Tablighi Jamaat also passed resolutions supporting the Congress party. However, any hindrance to this program is likely to have an impact on the Muslim votes in the parliamentary elections.
Thousands of people from all the states of the country are likely to attend this gathering along with prominent people from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Asian countries. Muslim religious leaders have made arrangements for the gathering of Tablighi Jamaat on a grand scale. He said that arrangements will be made for assembly premises and parking in about 300 acres. Tablighi Jamaat organizers said that around five lakh people will attend this gathering. The organizers expressed special thanks to CM Revanth Reddy and the government for allocating funds for this gathering. All the political parties are stepping on this Tablighi Jamaat controversy in the background of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
