Vaikunta Dwara Darshan News: From December 23 to January 1 at Tirumala Srivari Temple, the Vaikuntha door is kept open for ten days to give darshan bhagyam to the devotees. TTD is making extensive arrangements for this. According to Puranas, one day for Lord Vishnu in Vaikuntha means one year on earth. Similarly, there the days are 12 hours and there are 6 months of Uttarayanam, and the night is 12 hours and there are 6 months of Dakshinayanam. 120 minutes of dawn in Vaikuntha is equal to 30 days on earth. We call this as Dhanurmasam. In the early morning Brahma Muhurtam, Lord Vishnu gives darshan to the deities and sages for 40 minutes. This is a daily process in Vaikuntha according to that time.
It appears to be a once-a-year process according to Earth’s time. Since these 40 minutes are equal to 10 days on earth, it is believed that if you visit Vaikuntha during these 10 days in Vaishnava temples, you will get the fortune of seeing Lord Vishnu directly. So darshan through Vaikuntha is equal on any day of these 10 days. TTD appeals to the devotees to pay attention to this matter and come for darshan.
Due to the limited availability of rooms in Tirumala, devotees are advised to book rooms in Tirupati due to the rush of devotees on these days. As done in the past, this year also they are going to give a limited preview of the protocol to the VIPs. He said that letters of recommendation are not accepted.
It is advised not to rush to have darshan only on the first day i.e. Vaikuntha Ekadashi day. Hitavu says that he will come for darshan some day in ten days. It is said that all days are equal and the darshan part will not be done properly as everyone comes at the same time.
TTD has already released Rs.300 special entrance darshans online to celebrate Vaikuntha Ekadashi on 23rd December. The tickets were sold out in less than half an hour. TTD will release special tickets for common devotees. Along with the locals, common devotees are going to have an easy darshan of Srivari. SSD Time Slot Tokens will be issued from 22nd December in various parts of Tirupati. A total of 4,23,500 tickets will be issued for 10 days. These tokens are given in 9 regions.
