Due to the effect of Migjam typhoon, Tirupati and Tirumala have been receiving heavy rain for two days. Due to this, the devotees, pilgrims and people of Srivari are suffering a lot. More than 10 cm of rainfall has been recorded in Tirumala. On the other hand, the intensity of cold winds continues. In addition to this, heavy gusty winds are blowing at a speed of 50 to 75 kilometers per hour under the influence of the storm. Devotees are facing difficulties in Tirumala due to snowfall on the hill and heavy rains. Strong gusty winds and rain have uprooted and broken trees in many parts of Tirumala. Many vehicles were destroyed. TTD officials denied permission to the paths leading to Srivari’s feet. Two-wheeler riders passing through the ghat road are advised to wear helmets and be careful near the turn. Due to heavy rains in Tirumala, Gogarbham, Papavinasanam, Kurumadhara and Akashaganga reservoirs have received heavy rainwater.
